About Me
My name is Alexis Cisneros and I’m a costumer and designer from Lake Elsinore, CA. My main interest is in historical fashion and corsetry, both historical and modern.
From a young age, I was very interested in animation and art and taught myself to draw and illustrate. From there, I began my journey as a self-taught stitcher from 13, inspired by cosplay and Period films. When discovering my career, I decided to pursue Fashion Design because of my interest in constructing garments and designing.
I attended Fullerton College with Fashion Design in mind, however, about 2 years ago I shifted gears and decided to pursue Costuming within the Theatre Department. As of current, I am a Theatre Major in pursuit of an AA for transfer in Theatre Arts at Fullerton College.
I enjoyed the pivot in my career as I found costuming for the Theatre better aligned with my passions and interests in Historical Fashion & Costuming. I am also currently earning four Costume Design Certificates at the college, which include the Wardrobe Skills, Costume Stitcher, Costume Cutter/Draper, and the Assistant Costume Designer Certificates.
I have participated in numerous amount of shows at Fullerton College every year.
My work has been featured on a few shows such as Hunchback of Notre Dame (2022), 9 to 5 (2024), and Romeo & Juliet(2024).
Aside from building and stitching, I have done assistant design work, draping, and patternmaking, and I also have done wardrobe on numerous shows. I have recently dabbled in hat making, and enjoy the process immensely. I plan to specialize in Corsetry, Design Illustration, and Millinery once I hone my skills!
Currently, I am in the process of featuring and selling my work! If you are interested in viewing more in-progress photos, please check out my Instagram for more!
